ObjectivesThe home had many wonderful antiques, yet the overall look was fussy and Victorian. The client's true style was further hampered by heavy draperies and beige, blue and pink colors. Additionally, the client was unhappy with a tired, closed in kitchen. Most important, the client wanted to be an active participant in the design process and maximize her design budget dollars. SolutionsThe heavy draperies were removed and lighting added to brighten the various rooms. Wood flooring was used throughout the entire downstairs to unify the rooms as well. Many of the antiques were combined with modern amenities to creating an eclectic look. Stronger flooring, wall and furniture colors were selected to enhance the eceletic look and feel. Client Testimonial“When we decided to remodel our home, we knew from the beginning we wanted to consult an interior designer. We were concerned though whether the projcet would be what WE wanted and whether a designer would be affordable on our budget. > view next project, Bildsoe Residence (1 of 3) < return to Interior Design |
